Proposed Higher Education Standards Framework

The Higher Education Standards Panel invited comment on proposed revisions to the Higher Education Standards Framework.

The Panel’s third Call for Comment included background information on the Panel’s approach and consultation process, as well as instructions for the submission of comments.

Information Session

A stakeholder information session for clarification and initial feedback on the proposed Framework was held on Wednesday 14 May 2014 at Melbourne Airport.

Please note

  • The background information is not part of the consultation documentation; it is a resource for those who are interested in how the proposed Framework compares to existing requirements.
  • Comments on the Panel’s Communiqués can be submitted at any time by contacting the Higher Education Standards Executive.
  • The Panel does not regulate the higher education sector. Please continue to liaise with TEQSA in relation to TEQSA's interpretation and application of the current Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2011 for regulatory purposes.

Some personal information contained within these responses has been removed to protect the privacy of individuals in line with the current Information Privacy Principles.

Confidential responses were also received from the Medical Radiation Practice Accreditation Committee (66) and the Chinese Medicine Accreditation Committee (69).

Late responses from the Council of International Students Australia (86) and the Council of Private Higher Education Inc. (87) were received in late September 2014 and have been uploaded.
